SHORT STORY
Rebuilding and Renewal

With the curse lifted and Selene defeated, Aurora felt a renewed sense of purpose. The city that had been her home and battleground now felt like a place of endless possibilities. Aurora, Jack, and Malinda set to work restoring Belle’s Haven to its former glory, determined to make it a beacon of hope and beauty in the bustling metropolis.
The boutique quickly became a symbol of resilience and renewal. Word of Aurora’s bravery and the fall of Selene spread throughout the city, attracting curious visitors and new customers. Aurora’s designs, infused with the story of her journey, resonated with people, and Belle’s Haven flourished like never before.
Jack’s art studio, located in the apartment above the boutique, also experienced a revival. Inspired by the events they had endured, Jack’s artwork took on new depth and emotion. His pieces, filled with themes of love, courage, and redemption, captivated the city’s art community. Aurora and Jack’s bond grew stronger as they supported each other’s dreams and built a life together.
Malinda, once a mysterious and eccentric figure, became a trusted advisor and mentor to many in the city’s magical community. She shared her knowledge and experience, helping others navigate the complexities of magic and the modern world. Malinda’s presence brought a sense of unity and strength to the community, and her wisdom was sought by those who faced their own battles with darkness.
As the years passed, Aurora and Jack continued to thrive, both personally and professionally. They hosted events at Belle’s Haven, bringing together artists, designers, and magical practitioners. The boutique became a cultural hub, a place where creativity and magic intertwined. Aurora’s story of overcoming adversity and finding true love inspired countless others, and she became a beloved figure in the city.
One crisp autumn evening, as the sun set over the city, Aurora and Jack stood on the rooftop of the boutique, gazing out at the skyline. The city lights twinkled like stars, and the air was filled with the hum of life. Aurora leaned against Jack, her heart full of gratitude and contentment.
“I can’t believe how far we’ve come,” Aurora said, her voice soft with emotion.
Jack smiled, wrapping his arm around her. “We’ve been through so much, but we’ve always had each other. That’s what matters.”
Aurora nodded, feeling a deep sense of peace. “And we’ll keep moving forward, no matter what. This city, this life—it’s ours to shape and cherish.”
As they stood together, a shooting star streaked across the sky, a symbol of their journey and the magic that had brought them together. Aurora knew that there would always be challenges, but she was no longer afraid. She had faced the darkness and emerged stronger, surrounded by love and the endless possibilities of the city she called home.
Belle’s Haven continued to thrive, a testament to Aurora’s resilience and the power of true love. The boutique became a landmark, a place where people came to find beauty, inspiration, and a touch of magic. Aurora’s legacy lived on, her story woven into the fabric of the city.
In the end, Aurora realized that true love’s kiss had awakened more than just her—it had awakened her spirit, her strength, and her belief in the power of love and determination. And as she looked out at the city that never slept, she knew that her journey was far from over. There were still adventures to be had, dreams to be pursued, and magic to be discovered.
And so, with Jack by her side and the city at her feet, Aurora embraced her future with open arms, ready to face whatever came next with courage and grace.

MY FOUNDER’S JOURNEY
I’m working and keeping a lot to myself. I may phase this section out of the newsletter altogether. TBD.
REFLECTIONS
Nothing Lasts Forever

Nothing Lasts Forever - My cousin’s funeral was this past Saturday. I hadn’t seen him in 10 years before his passing. He didn’t live far and I always told myself I’d find the time to see him and hang out with him. It got me thinking about the fact that nothing lasts forever. No matter how much we want it to, life just doesn’t work like that.
One Day At A Time - I just want to take things one day at a time right now. I often get excited and plan, but again - life just doesn’t work like that. I’ve planned with people, planned for career growth, planned for multiple other things, and I’ve realized that I should just appreciate the moments that I have when I have them. Period.
Love - I’ve been thinking a lot about love this past week. Not just romantic love, but love in general and how I believe it’s really a choice that we make. Choosing love for ourselves and others isn’t always an easy task. We all know about the 5 love languages, but I remember reading a profound book. Although I don’t remember the book (it was a short book and I lost it after reading), one of it’s concepts is that sometimes you have to love somebody by leaving them alone. It doesn’t have to be forever, but sometimes people need space. We oftentimes want to be in somebody’s life all the time and we think that’s the definition of love. But the book talks about true love being able to let that person do and pursue what it is that THEY want to. I want to elaborate more about this in another issue. I just know I can’t elaborate on it the way I really want to in this moment.
Gratitude - An issue or two ago I mentioned choosing gratitude. Well, I’m grateful for this time in my life. This year has been challenging. I remember earning over $70k in the first 3 months, just to have a meeting where I was let go without cause. But you know what? I’m not going to let anything keep me down. I’m grateful for this life that I have and the opportunities that have presented themselves to me. I’m grateful to those who show their love when we’re together and when we’re not. I’m grateful to those who read this newsletter and are genuinely excited to get the new issue each week. I don’t know how many of you are excited about receiving How Nev Sees It, but at least one of my good friends told me to keep writing. So I will.
Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates. If you don't celebrate but have time with family this week, I hope you enjoy that time.
See you all next week!!
