SHORT STORY
Mad Tea Parties and Strange Encounters

Credit: Show.me
Alice wandered through the strange city, marveling at the fantastical sights around her. The streets bustled with life, but it was a life unlike any she had known. Vendors sold glowing fruits and levitating trinkets, and performers defied gravity with their acrobatic feats. She felt like she was walking through a dream, one where the boundaries of reality were blurred.
As she walked, she noticed a sign for a tea party in a nearby park. The sign, written in elegant cursive, read: “Mad Tea Party - All Are Welcome!” Intrigued, Alice followed the arrows leading to the park. She entered a lush garden where tables were set with an assortment of teapots, cups, and plates filled with peculiar pastries. At the head of the table sat a man in a flamboyant hat, chatting animatedly with a group of equally eccentric guests.
“Welcome!” the man called out, waving a gloved hand. “I’m the Mad Hatter. Do join us for tea!”
Alice took a seat, feeling slightly out of place but eager to learn more about this world. The Hatter poured her a cup of tea from a pot that seemed to change colors with each pour. The guests around the table introduced themselves: a Cheshire Cat who could appear and disappear at will, a March Hare with a perpetual twitch, and a Dormouse who napped more than it spoke.
The conversation was lively and nonsensical, filled with riddles and wordplay. Despite the absurdity, Alice found herself enjoying the company and the whimsical atmosphere. As the tea party continued, she realized that these characters might have valuable information about how to find the rabbit-eared man and return to her reality.
“Have you seen a man with rabbit ears?” she asked, hoping they could help.
The Cheshire Cat grinned, its wide smile lingering even as the rest of its body vanished. “Ah, the White Rabbit! He’s always in a hurry. Last I saw, he was headed to the Queen’s Court.”
“The Queen’s Court?” Alice repeated, her curiosity piqued.
The Hatter nodded, adjusting his oversized hat. “Yes, the Queen of Hearts. She’s quite the character. If anyone knows how to get you back to your world, it’ll be her.”
Alice thanked them for the information and prepared to leave, but the Hatter stopped her. “Wait! You’ll need this,” he said, handing her a small vial filled with a shimmering liquid. “Drink this if you find yourself in a tight spot. It has… unique properties.”
She accepted the vial and set off in search of the Queen’s Court, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. The city’s landscape shifted as she walked, buildings bending and twisting in impossible ways. She encountered more strange characters: a group of living playing cards marching in formation, a pair of twin street performers who spoke in riddles, and a caterpillar smoking a hookah atop a mushroom.
Finally, she reached the entrance to the Queen’s Court, a grand palace with towering spires and ornate gates. Guards in red uniforms stood at attention, their faces stern and unyielding. Alice took a deep breath and approached, holding up the notebook as a sign of her purpose.
The guards exchanged a glance and nodded, opening the gates to allow her inside. She walked through the courtyard, her footsteps echoing on the marble floor. The palace was even more extravagant inside, with opulent decorations and grand chandeliers.
In the throne room, the Queen of Hearts sat on a gilded throne, her presence commanding and regal. The rabbit-eared man stood by her side, looking anxious as ever. Alice stepped forward, her heart pounding.
“Your Majesty,” she began, bowing slightly. “I seek your help to return to my world.”
The Queen eyed her with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. “And why should I help you, dear Alice?”
Alice held up the notebook. “Because I found this, and I believe it belongs to the White Rabbit. It led me here, and I think it might hold the key to my return.”
The Queen leaned forward, intrigued. “Very well. But first, you must prove your worth. Complete three tasks for me, and I shall grant you what you seek.”
Alice nodded, determined to succeed. She had come this far and wasn’t about to give up now. The first task awaited, and with it, the hope of finding her way back home.

THE FOUNDER’S JOURNEY
Slow Down To Speed Up

“When you meditate, think about where you want to be and who you want to be surrounded by.”
I’m going to build this huge company. But damn this shit is difficult. But then again, is it?
I wrote a LinkedIn Post today about getting clarity and resetting. Entrepreneurs are very creative. That gift of creating something in our mind and realizing it in the physical world is so beautiful.
Make no mistake though. It’s also a curse. The creativity part of entrepreneurship needs room to roam and play. That can get tricky when you gotta bring home the bread.
I started Nurtured back in April. At first I just wanted it to be a newsletter to share great insights for GTM teams. If you don’t know what the acronym GTM stands for, don’t worry - the majority of people I speak to probably don’t either. GTM stands for go-to-market. So what’s a GTM team?
If you asked me that question a year ago I would have looked at you like you were a starseed. Oh wait… you don’t know what a starseed is? Haha. I’ll talk about that in my reflections section.
Anyway, back to GTM. A GTM team is the team responsible for helping a company monetize a product or service. These are sellers, marketers, and operational people.
I’ve been in sales and marketing for so long that I find myself wanting to help others in the field. I’m from Brownsville, Brooklyn. The fact that I’ve made $15k commission checks as a seller when the median salary of the neighborhood was less than that blows my mind. So I think it’s important to give back. Whether that be financially or with knowledge.
My creativity and ambition got the best of me and I made this crazy miro doc that had all of my plans.

Then I got overwhelmed.
Then ate ice cream (the first time in years actually).
Then I meditated.
I’ve decided I want to be in Brooklyn, surrounded by successful people. People who make each other happy. I guess I’m already gucci.
REFLECTIONS
Nevdum

Challenge Complete - I completed my 30-day challenge. No alcohol, no weed, no dating apps, no s*x. Honestly - it was an amazing challenge. I’m considering doing another one that lasts longer. The challenge helped me reestablish the fact that these things aren’t really that significant. I barely even wanna indulge in them now. I think that’s a good sign.
Millionaire Mindset - Yo. Decide on the impact you want to have on this Earth. Calculate how much money it’ll take to make that impact. Then go earn it. Keep it simple.
From Another Planet - I’m convinced I’m a Starseed. A Starseed is a being from another planet currently going through Earth's journey. I don’t even understand it all that much myself. But there’s no way I’m not from a planet called Nevdum or something of the sort.
It was hard for me to write this week’s newsletter. I was struggling with how to condense all my thoughts down into one issue. I’m glad I pushed through even though it’s two days later than normal.
If you’re reading this, send me a reply. Tell me a joke. Let me know what you’re up to.
It’s good to know that I’m not sending this into the void sometimes.
Blessings!
